Edward J. EhlersPartner
Maryland Personal Injury Attorney Edward J. Ehlers began his career in the insurance business. Like his insurance-business colleague Roger Butschky, he observed the struggles injured people went through when trying to file personal injury claims in Maryland. He wanted to do something more to help people with personal injuries and their families, so he decided to transition out of the insurance business and into law.
Mr. Ehlers earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Baltimore Law School. Realizing their goal to use their insider knowledge of the insurance industry to help injured people and their families receive compensation, Attorney Edward Ehlers and his partner, Attorney Roger Butschky (ret.), founded Butschky & Ehlers personal injury attorneys in 1982 in Baltimore, Maryland.
Mr. Ehlers is a member of the American Bar Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (now the American Association for Justice), the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorneys' Association, and the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association. He is admitted to practice in all courts of law in the State of Maryland, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court and U.S. District Court.
Though his founding partner, Roger Butschky, has retired, Attorney Ehlers carries on the good fight for the rights of people with personal injuries in Maryland, working together with Mr. Butschky's son and fellow personal injury lawyer, Attorney Jeffrey Butschky.
